Select Brushes is a
family owned and operated business, founded in 1980. Since that
time, Select Brushes has worked alongside its Industrial Distributors
to provide surface conditioning solutions to Canadian industry.
From hand and power wire brushes to abrasive filament brushes
to custom-engineered brush systems, Select can supply the right
brush at the right price. We have a reputation among our industrial
distributors as the leaders in delivering the right metal finishing
and deburring solutions for end-user applications.
Al Harris took over
as President of Select Brushes in 1994 and in that time has led
the company through its most prosperous years with average annual
sales growth of 15%. Al is an active industry leader as the Past-President
of The Canadian Brush Manufacturers Association. Al believes in
giving back to the community, and is actively involved as President
of the local Rotary Club.
Our
Facilities
We're
located in Mississauga, Ontario, adjacent to Toronto, Canada's
largest city, and the industrial heartland of Canada. We moved
into our newest facility in 2000 featuring 10,000 square feet
of warehouse space to accommodate our growing business and product
offerings. We've designed our facilities for ease of shipping
and receiving, and can provide our distributors with same-day
shipping or pick-up.
Despite the growing
number of items and lines we carry, our real time warehouse management
and inventory control systems manage inventory levels and sales
information, providing timely and on-demand reporting. Select
uses all major couriers and typically delivers within 24 hours,
and when required by our customers, we can often accommodate same
day shipping.
Our Product Lines & Services
Our strength is our
product knowledge coupled with our responsiveness, whether it
be same-day shipment of in-stock items or end-user technical visits,
Select has earned a reputation as the service leader in the Canadian
brush market. We make it easy for our industrial distributor customers
to buy and transact, with Canadian dollar price lists, and we
handle all import clearance responsibilities so that our customers
have no customs headaches to endure.
Our
Sales Team
We've assembled a strong
and experienced sales organization with over 60 years of experience
servicing the industrial distributor marketplace, representing
abrasives and power brush products. Our team is well known and
respected for their expertise and service.
Our experienced in-house
customer service team works with our sales team, to provide our
distributors and their end-user customers, application solutions
and support.

strengthen its expertise and product lines in surface conditioning.
We have the advantage of over 20 years of manufacturing experience,
and the Select brand is widely recognized in the Canadian market
with a reputation for performance and reliability.
Recent
Vendor Successes
On the basis of a successful
and long-standing relationship with Weiler Corporation, North
America's largest industrial brush manufacturer, we are proud
that in 2001 Select was appointed as Weiler's Eastern Canadian
sales and warehousing partner. We're excited about the sales gains
the Select team has achieved with the Weiler line, and are equally
optimistic, with the recent launch of a complimentary industrial
brush line.

We service all major
industrial distributors in Eastern Canada. Our over 400 distributor
partners have come to know and trust Select Brushes for service,
selection, responsiveness, and expertise. We are well known to
all the major industrial distributors including Acklands Grainger,
Windsor Factory Supply, Wolseley and Barnes Distribution.
